Mission Statement for Grace Missions
To be an enthusiastic family of Christ-centered believers growing in our love and enjoyment of God and one another, to promote awareness of our Missions imperative, to encourage, mobilize and equip Grace church members and families to effectively minister nationally and internationally in order to evangelize the lost, and establish and disciple the newly saved.

I.   International Ministry Fast Facts and Highlights

Global missions and ministry has always been an important part of Grace’s outreach, and reaching beyond the borders of our own country has allowed us to meet, befriend, evangelize and disciple people from many nations across the world. Check out some highlights of our international adventures below:

     •   We are a Global Priority Church listed with the International Mission Board (IMB).

     •   We had more than 60 people go on international trips both in 2007 and 2008, and we hope to
reach that number, perhaps exceeding it, in 2009.

    •    Approximately 10 Grace family members currently serve as missionaries overseas in Peru, Central
          Asia, the United Kingdom.

Global Connections

Turkey: We have grown and developed a partnership with international workers here for the last ten years, where we pass out Bibles and Jesus films and share the Gospel when opportunities arise.

Honduras: We have nurtured a partnership with local pastors and associations in Honduras for the last 13 years. Working toward the development of the Atlantida Baptist Association, we have also trained 15 local pastors in discipleship strategy for the local church, and continue to evangelize and cultivate new work through Honduran Baptist churches.

Uganda: We took a team of young adults to Uganda in 2007, where we presented True Love Waits (TLW) in the capital city of Kampala. Partnering with several Ugandan college students and new house churches, we presented TLW to about 600 youth!

Peru: Since December 2007, we have been a Strategy Coordinator Church with REAP North in South America, a team from the International Mission Board.

II.   Peruvian Partnership

Working through REAP North, our (primary) focus in Peru is with the Wanka Quechua people group.

During 2008, our first year of work with the Wanka Quechua, several groups of new believers have been established in two villages, San Jose de Quero and Usibamba.

San Jose de Quero highlights

   •   More than 25 people are meeting regularly for weekly Bible study and discipleship.

   •   Grace’s first baptism came in November with six people being baptized, including a town leader and
        his wife.

   •   A major dental clinic was also held during this November trip and 135 patients were seen in
two-and-a half days, with 45 praying to receive Christ and join the fellowship and Bible study in San
        Jose de Quero!

Usibamba highlights

   •   About 30 meet regularly each week for Bible study and discipleship.

III.  Plan ahead for Peru in 2009

Currently we have four trips planned* and the dates are:
   March 7 - 21
   June 18 – 28*
   August 5 – 15
   November 7 - 15

* The June trip will be a youth trip for high school juniors and seniors.

* Details of the other trips are still in the planning stages. Please check this
site periodically or call or email Larry Pumpelly for more information.

IV. Grace Missions’ 2009 Vision & Strategies

   •   Install financial checks and balances within the Mission Leadership Team.

   •   Define the process for growing new disciples in Peru.

   •   Revise/Update the Partnership Agreement & strategy plan for the Wanka Quechua people for 2009.

   •   Develop a strategy plan for each trip, defining the leader(s), what is to be accomplished and how
many people will be authorized to participate (go?) on each trip.

   •   Continue our initiative to become a mobilizing church that teaches other churches to become Strategy
        Coordinator Churches.

   •   Identify and train ministry and logistical leaders for Peru.
